Iran says it test-fired a high-speed torpedo
ایران شلیک یک اژدر را که بعنوان موشک زیردریایی ردیاب گریز توصیف کرد آزمایش کرد.ایران میگوید این موشک در نوع خود از سریعترین هاست و میتواند ازهر کشتی جنگی دشمن پیشی گیرد:
Iran announced it had test-fired a torpedo that it described as a sonar-evading underwater missile that is among the world's fastest and can outpace any enemy warship
اظهارات سردار علی فداوی از مقامات بلندپایه ی سپاه پاسداران انقلاب در تلویزیون دولتی ایران تنها ۲ روز بعد از این بود که ایران اعلام کرد موشکی شلیک کرده که قادر است کلاهک های چند لوله ای حمل کند و از سیستم رادار بگریزد:
The announcement on state television by General Ali Fadavi of the elite Revolutionary Guards ,came just two days after iran said it had fired a missle that could carry multiple warheads and evade radar systems
فداوی که از کلمه ی "موشک" بجای "اژدر" استفاده کرد گفت که این سلاح زیر دریایی کلاهکهایی قدرتمند حمل میکند که انرا قادر میسازد تا انها را علیه گروه کشتی های جنگی و زیردریایی های بزرگ بکار گیرد:
Using the Farsi word for missle rather than torpedo ,Fadavi said the underwater weapon "carries a very powerful warhead that enables it to operate against groups of warships and big submarines."
او ادعا کرد کشتی هایی که این موشک یا اژدر پرسرعت را پرتاب میکنند قادرند از سیستم شناسایی بگریزند اما حتی اگر ردیاب کشتی دشمن آنرا شناسایی کند بخاطر سرعت بالای آن نمیتواند از آن فرار کند:
He contended that the boats that would launch the missle or high-speed torpedo ,were able to evade detection systems but that "even if an enemy's warship sonar can detect the missle ,no warship can escape from this missle because of its high speed"
فداوی موشک پرتاب شده را نتیجه ی ۶ سال تلاش دانست:
Fadavi said the missle launched was the result of six years of work.
این آزمایش قسمتی از مانور یک هفته ای نیروی دریایی بود که ۱۷ هزار نفر از نیروهای سپاه پاسداران انقلاب در ان حضور داشتند:
The test was part of a week of naval maneuvers involving 17,000 members of the Revolutionary Guards.
